The video starts with War & Peace Rolvenden, in OO gauge, a countryside layout based on the station of the same name on the Kent and East Sussex Railway. Midsummer End is an N gauge layout with a number of sound-enabled steam locomotives and working signals. Following this is a lovely tramway model entitled Crikey in OO scale. It depicts a High Street setting in the mid-20th century with passenger and freight trams shooting up and down. Occasionally a more modern mode of transport can be seen on the tram tracks. Finally we have a steam depot layout, Jusabit, in O gauge created by the Diss & District Model Railway Society. Great to see a steam based MPD for change with a stunning water tank central to the background.

If you’ve never seen Pete Waterman’s outstanding O gauge layout of Leamington Spa then check out this video. The video has been produced for display at the forthcoming Warley National Model Railway Exhibition at the National Exhibition Centre in Birmingham, UK. The exhibition at the NEC is so large that not only are there over 90 layouts but there will be four full-size locomotives. The event is a must for any keen model railway enthusiast.
But back to Pete Waterman’s layout. Pete’s team have built an incredible layout detailing Leamington Spa railway station and surrounding area from the 1950s. The video has some great ‘on-board’ footage from the layout. If you are looking for some British O gauge models then check out Pete’s website – Just Like The Real Thing.
